Strength Training Camp
There are five main reasons why runners should incorporate strength training into their workout routine:
* Firstly, it can help prevent injuries by strengthening the muscles and joints involved in running.
* Secondly, it can prevent muscle loss that may occur with age or extended periods of inactivity.
* Thirdly, it can improve explosive power and speed for sprints and hill climbs.
* Fourthly, it can strengthen the core muscles, which are essential for maintaining good posture and balance during running.
* Finally, the body is a complex chain of muscles that work together to produce movement.
Therefore, all muscles in the body need to be trained and strengthened to optimize running performance.
“Love To Run” Taring program strongly recommends that runners incorporate strength training into their routine by participating in a training camp with professional coaches who offer supervised online and offline sessions. The camp runs for one to two weekly sessions, each lasting at least 25 minutes.
Since its inception in early 2022, the camp has completed ten eight-week sessions and has grown to over 70 members.
All runners are encouraged to join and participate in strength training to improve their running abilities and general fitness.
